My daughter is 16 weeks old and weighs nearly 17 pounds already! When she was born she weighed just 6 pound 10 oz. My first 2 children had low birth weights and grew slowly so this is a new situation for me. My baby is breast fed she feeds every 2 hours day during the day and every 3 hours during the night. She is a happy, and healthy baby but i'm concerned about her weight gain and want to know if it is normal or if something else may be wrong like a growth disorder or am i over feeding her?

Some people say they like the taste, but many non-alcoholic drinks also taste good. Therefore, people are consuming it to get alcohol into their system. But why? When drinkers see a drunk and are disgusted, are the actually scared of looking at the magnified silliness of what they are doing to themselves?

Every winter my mum leaves her pool to rot, never cleans it and after the three months of winter her husband puts a chlorene 'treatment ' in it and it makes the pool clear again. Does that make the pool safe to swim in again?

Talking about it helps some with a tharapist. That & writing about it helps me remember more. Yet, I don't feel I've totally recovered. Far from it. I still hate certain kinds of men & I get very upset when I hear of men going to topless bars & bachelor parties. I wish that I wasn't attracted to bad men who end up hurting me really bad. There's usally some sexual abuse of some kind too & I feel violated all over again. Then I swear that I'm done with guys like him. I don't say when I wake up that day, "I want to find a guy today who will abuse me & disrespect me. Yep that's what I'm gonna do." Then I meet him, fall in love & the process starts all over again, like I'm stuck in some f**king time loop.

It is always the same conversation when I talk to my therapist about it & I feel like we haven't covered any new ground. Now maybe this isn't so. Maybe I'm actually doing a lot of healing in this therapy process & making a lot of progress & don't know it.

What do you suggest?

last october i had a lateral release surgery done on my right knee, i have very odd joints, they all grew in crooked, but only my knees seem to suffer...i still get alot of pain in that knee, especially when the weather is changing, but recently both of my knees have been giving out completely, and being as that is unexpected ive been falling...something with some dangerous shoes to be falling in...any idea of the cause? of should i go back to my orthapedic surgeon for answers?

Please help, im actually kinda worried...i have to dress up for work everyday, and i happen to be very short, meaning my pants are very long, so thats why i opt to wear heals all the time..no only is it embarrassing to fall in public, i dont want to get hurt in public, rather it happen at home!

Hi, I've been having a white coating on the tongue pretty much every morning ever since a girl at my school bit me hard (but the bite was over a shirt), and I had to take antibiotics.

I was very worried that I had HIV but I took 2 tests since (one test was a month after the incident and the other was 9 months after), both came back negative.

What she did give me was HSV1, the common herpes simplex virus which causes painful coldsores under my lip every few months.

Could the white tongue be caused by the antiobiotics? can it be caused by herpes?

also, I had a bad habit of almost never brushing as a kid... could that be it?

by the way, the coating doesn't bleed or anything, it easily comes off with a gentle brushing of the tongue. It usually appears overnight.

What's the big deal about peeing in the shower? I mean, the dirty water all goes to the same place and it's where you clean yourself as well. It's probably the easiest place to relieve yourself. That way ladies, you don't have to get out dripping wet and sit on a cold toilet seat. I imagine there's at least one woman out there that does it.

Recently there have been questions on Yahoo! about why everyone hates the President, why there has never been a woman or black President. etc. Yet ask a question about restricting the vote to those competent to use it and the same people get all protective about democracy. You can't have it both ways. I live in the UK, where only about 20% of the population voted Labour (the rest either voted for someone else whilst about 40% didn't vote at all), yet we have a Labour Government which, it seems, the vast majority of the British people detest. I suspect the same situation exists in the US. It begs the question - is democracy all it is cracked up to be?
