Don't worry as soon as you get and start your job your self confidence will build up and you'll be fine.

I have a very good tip, which will increase your self confidence more than you thought possible. It may not sound like what you're expecting, but I wouldn't rule it out without trying it first!

Find the closest place to you that teaches a martial art called "wing tsun". This is not a martial art like judo or karate or kickboxing. The first lesson will be free and last for about 90 minutes.

Wing Tsun develops the brain as much as the body, and is the best thing ever for building self-confidence.

After a short period of learning it, you will lose your clumsiness, and stop doubting yourself. Your self-confidence will soar beyond belief.

It's a non-competitive martial art, so you won't be expected to actually fight against anyone.

Like I said, the first lesson will be free, so why not give it a try and see what you think? It did wonders for me. Back in the 90's, I was addicted to heroin. I managed to give this up, but felt completely empty, and ashamed to face anyone. After learning Wing Tsun for only 6 weeks, I was completely transformed. I became outgoing, lost all clumsiness, and had confidence in myself.

It doesn't mean that you will be excellent at any job you go for, but it does mean that you will be able to deal with the process of finding a job that you like.

Good luck!!

It is scary - all those things like taxes and working and other things. Most people feel the same most of the time - worrying about jobs and doubting themselves.
Concentrate on thinking what you would really like to do, talk to your careers teacher. There is an organisation called connexions direct which can help. They are at www.connexions-direct.com or telephone
Tel: 080 800 13 2 19 seven days a week from 8 am to 8pm. They can help with all sorts of or problems,

Clumsiness can be a result of the rewiring of your brain which takes place as you grow during the teenage years and the rate at which you grow can mean your brain map lags behind. Unfortunately your body does not grow evenly and that adds to the clumsiness - my poor sister's feet grew first so she had wopping feet from age ten, but now her feet are average. It will sort itself out.
Confidence comes with practice. As someone else has suggested, rehearsing a situation in your head or with someone else helps.

Make a list of the things that you're good at and then look for a job where you get to use some of those skills.

I'm still clumsy at 33, I just don't take jobs where I could break important things!!

Start off with something simple, build up your confidence and go from there. You're gonna do just great!

Hi!!Dont worry..you are only 15yrs...still have a long way a head of you!!!Building up self confidence is something tha comes from within YOU!!You are what you think you are!!Always be positive and learn to appreciate yourself the way you are...Wonderfully and fearfully made in the image of God!!
To prepare you for the real world...how about doing volunteering.....in organisations...get the exposure and experience..find something smalll to do..This too will build your self confidenceAnd believe you me...its not as bad as you think!!!You still need to comlete your studies and interact with others out there.
Relax...everything will fall into place when you least expect it!!!Take care!

Get yourself some training, go to college or do an apprenticeship or an NVQ. That way, you will know that you are doing a good job because you have trained and worked hard for it!

Don't worry, this is a big step and we all felt like that when we were in you shoes, well I did anyway!! Now I am in a good job and on my way to being a manager!!!!

You'll be OK when you get a job. I wasn't very confident when I left school but, after a while, you learn more about the job you're doing and this makes you more confident all round.

It's a bit scary when you leave school but try to find a job you really want to do and you'll have no problems.

Good Luck!!

Getting a first job can be frightening. You need to build up your confidence. Try volunteering first.....an area hospital, day care center, your church. This will build up your confidence and make you feel you are able to tackle the work force. First of all you need to keep up with your school work. Treat your assignments as a job. Doing this you will make good grades and also build up your confidence. God Bless.

Everyone is afraid - you can move forward or cower - but life goes on.

Most things aren't as bad as the fear that we build up around them.

Just pick a direction and GO. The only way to build confidence is to grow - and to grow you nee to face your fears. It will be fine.

Everyone, even adults have this feeling. Just accept that it's a learning process and give yourself time to adjust. Once things fall into place your confidence will grow. We've all been there!

practice makes people confident and apprasul is good as well when you decide what job you would like to do maybe do a bit of role play ei get one of your friends for example to pretend to be a customer and you be the checkout operative and act out a situation i know it sounds silly but it may make jobs seem fun
