Some people say they like the taste, but many non-alcoholic drinks also taste good. Therefore, people are consuming it to get alcohol into their system. But why? When drinkers see a drunk and are disgusted, are the actually scared of looking at the magnified silliness of what they are doing to themselves?

Seeing as how the difference between a drunk and someone that drinks is a few ounces (or what, 5 more gulps) it is quite amazing. Let's face it, the point of drinking alcohol is to get drunk PERIOD (or buzzed if I offended the "non-drunks").

I used to go out with someone that would get disgusted when we went to restaurants and we saw parents drinking alcohol while their kids were there. I would always say what's the point? Kids are just learning...and what's the big deal when they'll be doing the same in another 10-15 years with the only difference being that it will be legal. That would normally start an argument, b/c like most people that drink she refused to stay blind to the truth...

THERE'S NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO...
ONE IS JUST LESS DRUNK THAN THE OTHER

Drinkers dislike drunks? I don't know what sort of drinkers you hang out with. If someone maintains that catching a buzz isn't part of drinking, they are lame. They are not a drinker. Sometimes I get annoyed with stupid drunks. People who can't hold themselves together after a couple drinks are disgraceful. On the other hand, we've all been blind drunk on occasion. When I see true drunks - the old men who tell the same story every night at the bar and drink til they fall off the stool every night, I do feel a little sad. But that's life.

I do not think drinking is a sickness, even alcoholism, it is an addiction. It is fun to have a few beers with friends and relax, there is nothing wrong with that. A drunk is someone who always drinks too much and a lot of times, at odd times of the day. They get on drinkers' nerves because they have no self control about them.

Not everyone drinks to get drunk. Those who drink the cheap mass-produced stuff do. For others, though, it is a taste thing. I brew my own beer because I want it to taste a certain way. I don't give it out to anyone who is drunk because they can't appreciate it and I put a lot of work into it.

Some people drink alcohol to be sociable. It makes some people feel "happy and carefree" and they can lose their inhibitions for awhile.

Some people on the other hand drink to "drown their sorrows". Those folks can become drunks or alcoholics real easy.

When drunks see themselves and others drunk they don't give a hoot because they're alcoholics.'

When I was in school, I would drink to get drunk. It's just something that people that age do to fit in with others. Most people mature and grow out of it. I enjoy beer, but I do not enjoy getting drunk. I will have a beer now and then, but take it easy and drink in moderation.

Dr. Cas? You're a doctor? This question sounds like it's coming from a 12 year old. How old are you anyway?
