I love raw tuna dipped in the sauce (i.e., wasabi, ginger and soy sauce). The ginger is also great to cleanse the palate. Note that tuna has the good fatty oils. I also take a fish oil capsule everyday. Lubes the joints.
As far as a roll is concerned, I can stuff myself on the barbecued eel roll with that special sauce. Now that's delicious and finish it off with a little saki. You might also try a rainbow roll (i.e., three types of fish).
The Japanese didn't have heart problems until the western world introduced fast foods over there with Mickey D's and KFC.

Yum! Nearly all of it. If you're still not bold enough to eat the raw stuff yet, try a baked roll like a scallop volcano roll. Philadelphia rolls are good (cream cheese, green onion, and smoked salmon). When you're ready for raw fish try a spicey tuna roll or unagi. Bottom line: Its all pretty tasty just read whats in each roll and choose based on your personal tastes.

It is good to see you wish to continue with the healthy choice of sushi. You have enjoyed Cali rolls and have appreciated them now for a while. I would challenge you to try a dragon roll. It is the same as cali, but has a roasted eel and a delicious sauce placed over the top.

Good luck, and keep eating sushi!!!

I love the eel, tempura and salmon but can't seem to take the octopus. Since you're in a "trying" mood, try a new kind each time you visit a sushi restaurant. That way, you'll know for sure which you like and don't like.
