I have heard from anti-gay persons that, on the issue of equal rights, the majority rules and what is good for the majority is equal.I have in fact heard something along these lines come from another user in a private message.
So I wonder if our founding fathers would be proud that majority may rule over liberty and freedom.Or if the wife of one of histories most loved human rights activists would approve of her husbands dream not being fully realized.Consider these words:
"The majority, oppressing an individual, is guilty of a crime, abuses its strength, and by acting on the law of the strongest breaks up the foundations of society."-Thomas Jefferson
