I am a very very very emotional towards things...for example I cry terribly when watching a sad movie or if I'm missing someone who has travelled away..I keep crying when I'm alone for them...and how do I get grip of my feelings, I want to stop feeling..hmm..wat should I call it SOBBY!!!!

the diagnosais is clinically depressed go get a doctor to give you a Rx for an antidepressant.

That is not a problem.. You are a deep feeling person.. perhaps an Aquarius like me. I also am extremely emotional towards things and many situations. Yes I watch sad movies and I get sad. I watch a happy one afterwards and feel better!. Insulters make me Mad but compliments make me glad! Simply dwell on the Good things in Life and be glad you're not a robot. If you really want to get rid of your sad feelings and emotionness try hypnosis! I however suggest you study yourself and your feelings.. God made you and my have a purpose in mind to do with feelings.. for you..
Maybe become a Pastor... or help the poor.. you never know!

You can't just think of a happy moment... Um- I know, you don't want to end up being a cry-baby or anything. Same here, I cry for nothing and I'm getting tired of it. My advice to you is to stop watching so many sad movies- and get outside. Have fun, and have time for yourself. Occupy yourself with friends and activities that makes you happy. Like taking a walk, or something like that. It will keep your mind off of crying.

give yourself sad tme and then try to think happy thougths when i miss friends i call them and then i feel better when i feel sobby i watch a sad movie get it out of my system and then i go on if you cant shake the sadness seek professional help

Well, there is ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with being emotional! It just means you have a kind & loving heart!

Its just that there is a time to feel and a time to not get too overwhelmed.

Use your common sense and try to eveluate what is ok & what can start up the tear machiene!

If this has gone on for more than a month, I'd see a doctor if I were you. It might just be a habit but it might be more and whichever it is, you'll find it easier to deal with if you get some help.

I'd research cognitive behavioural therapy, it helps you work out your mental habits and how to deal with them.
