My daughter has very thick, curly, shoulder length hair. She wants me to straighten it, but blowing it out or pressing it just takes too long. She's starting fifth grade this year and I want to get away from plaits.

I am a devotee of Ramana Maharshi. Can I realise Self without a physical Guru?

"You are already that which you are seeking". With this understanding can I proceed to realise the Self without the help of a physical Guru? The doubt arises because my mind always says that search is within and not physical. And Ashtavakra says that "he who desires to attain Brahman does not attain Brahman and he who does not desire to attain Brahman attains Brahman"
What to do now? The objects of senses should be considered as poison and I cannot desire to attain Brahman and my mind says search is not physical. But the SELF has to be realised to go beyond sorrow. What should I do in this dilemma?

Urgent! How to find asymptotes for a tan graph?

For the equation y= 3tan(2X - pi/3) for pi/6 < X <13pi/6
How do I find the asymptotes? I've tried using the formula
x= {(2k + 1) / n x pi/2 } but I'm not getting the right answers?

Anyone switch from monotheism to aetheism? And how does it feel?

This is not for those who are just starting to question their faith in their religion, but for those who already made the switch. I really am trying to convert to aetheism but I cannot help the fact that there is someone up there who is always looking down on me. I am not switching because I think my old religion (christianity) is fake, but because I question the divider between what is morally right and morally wrong. The hardest part right now is who to blame and who to praise on mere coincidences that happen in my life (no more "Thank God", or "Damn it to hell"). If there was a religion that could focus more on fairness and (non-american) justice rather than good vs. evil then I would definitly walk right up that alley. I believe that everyone is born with a clean slate and the only reason a person is good or bad is because of their surroundings. Without evil there can be no good, why is that? It is because good and bad is but a mere illusion of majority favor versus minority favor.
