The ACLU is for people who can't afford justice the easy way - with money. They would defend your rights the same as everyone else's. The ACLU is not clogging the legal system. They try to make the way clear if possible. You don't agree with every judge's ruling in the country do you? So why bother with the ACLU?

No one in their right mind would do that. While the ACLU frustates us at times, it prevents abuse of power, and many of the questions here concern the loss of freedom, while the ACLU is trying to curb such losses. The government can slip the wool over your eyes by pretty rhetoric and good media coverage but the ACLU opens these issues for all to see. Check some of the latest suits.

Taking away rights from one group, no matter how ill-contrived the group may have become, means the rest of us no longer have those rights, either.
Think about it next time. You and I may disagree with them, but they are and stand for everything America is supposed to be.
