I am diagnosed with bipolar disorder and she's always trigger happy and thinking I might be manic when I am not. Perhaps I've been forwarding her too many emails. Or maybe she thinks I'm manic because I asked my dad to borrow money too many times lately. Or maybe it's because when her sister came to town to visit I took it as an opportunity to get a dig in and told her to be sure and purchase nursing home insurance because she's not living with me when she gets really old...lol! Or maybe it's because I told on my dad to his mom that he's being rediculous over a family issue and it got back to him.

I can't figure out why she described me as dangerous when everybody else described me as funny, smart, etc.

I am not sure how to react? Should I tell her to hide the knives when I come over? Should I ask her if her comment was meant to make me feel good? Should I ignore the reply and pretend I didn't see it? Should I email her and ask her why she thinks I'm dangerous?

i got a used printer that has a cartridge in it. so i tried to print something and it doesn't go. So, i don't really know if th problem lays in the cartridge (that might be old)... or just the printer is a piece of junk...
p.S. the friend that sold it to me is in Australia.. lol

I'm terrified because I've gained 22 lbs since March. I'm scared that nobody will recognize me, or that they will ask me about my weight gain. I know nobody will say anything, but I'm worried about what the students and professors will think. I go to a private university, so I know many of the students. I'm having so much anxiety about this, and I almost wish that I didn't have to go to school this fall to avoid potential questions. I hate who I've become.

I was on medical leave for bulimia last spring. My main fear is that when I see counselor at the student health center that she will question my problem, now that I am fat (I am allowed to return this fall on the condition that I meet with her for the academic year). I can't help but believe she won't take my problem seriously. What can I do to calm myself down? I am very worried, and I don't know if I can concentrate on schoolwork when all I can think about is how much weight I've gained. I can't stop bingeing...

I read a story on MSNBC.com that says a group of scientists want to increase the number of planets in our solar system to 12, making the asteroid Ceres, Pluto's moon Charon, and that thing discovered in 2003 a planet. Also, this ridiculous plan says that we could have 100 planets in the near future, because the new definition for a planet is any objet over a certain size that's not a star. It also talks about double and triple palnets, and that's where it lost me. Do you find this absurd?

Every four years we put ourselves through a national exercise in governance. Employing an arcane system of party politics, we are given usually two main candidates to select between to choose a leader.

However in the real world government obviously does not rely on the judgement of any single man. Considering our current leader it may even be said that this leader actually serves no function but to be the front of a committee or group which actually formulates policy. Why do we feel we need a symbolic leader, when we all must know that the real decisions are made by no single individual, but by committees of people, most of whom are not even elected?

My question then has two parts. 1) does anyone believe that a single person really makes policy? and 2) Why do we bother with this deception? Wouldn't it be better to admit that we are governed by groups of men, many of whom are not actually democratically elected?

I know this sounds totally nuts...but two very very malevelont people in my life were absolutely freaked by my gargoyle...I bought it because I thought it was cute and the stories behind it I found charming....I didn't honestly think there was anything to it..frankly I thought all that was b.s. The two people did not know each other but had the exact same reaction. I must emphasize...these were the two most...horribly spiritually bankrupt people I've ever known. I've long since ushered them both out of my life...with great effort..they don't go away easily. I'm an empath and they are quite attracted to me. I'm almost convinced one of them isn't human...that's how bad it was...I know that's not logical...but he was...*wrong*...does that make sense? Anyway...anyone have weirdo experiences like that?
