First of all stop feeling sorry for your self. If you go around acting like a gloomy Guss showing the world all your worst qualities the of course your not going to attract anybody who would be even remotely interested in being around you for very long no body wants to spend quality time with a person stuck on self pity whatever happened to make you feel this way I'm sure seemed like the worst thing to have happen in your life but you cant let life beat you down and keep you there

you need to pick your self up look in the mirror and find the real you the Strong part of you and trust me its there (I CAN'T) should not exist in your vocab

so make up your mind that you do matter and you do have something to offer you are not pathetic just merely stuck in a low we've all been there keep your head up and keep fighting it may take time but it will get better

and remember "EVERYTHING IN LIFE IS MIND OVER MATTER IF YOU DON'T MIND IT DOESN'T MATTER!"

Being alone is not pathetic, whether it be by choice or because you haven't found the right someone yet. You have no idea what destiny has in store for you. In the meantime, enjoy not having to answer to anyone, going anywhere you please with whomever you want, enjoy the freedom from emotional commitments.

And BTW, you can be married and have a pathetic life, too.

Why you? Because you have that mind set. You're the little train that couldn't. And I don't mean that jokingly. Who wants to be with a guy who's got a "poor me!" attitude?!
Love is not ENTITLED to you, it doesn't fall in your lap, she's not the pizza delivery girl knocking on your door on a Friday night.
You have to WORK FOR IT. Firstly work on yourself- meaning you need to have a life, have something to offer her, what are your interests?
Go out and do what you like to do, enjoy your own life, learn to enjoy being single, hang out with your friends- and since you are happy and doing what you love, someone will come along that will have the same interests.
It sounds cliche but its true, people aren't MECHANICS. I can't fix you. There isn't a girl out there that can. In a relationship- two halves don't make a whole, it quite literally takes TWO WHOLE STABLE HAPPY PEOPLE to make it work.
You won't be alone for the rest of your life unless you want it to be the case. Change yourself to change your situation.

I think almost everyone thinks like you do at least once in their lives. After my divorce when my ex husband married his girlfriend and moved out of state and left me a single mom with 2 mortgages and no job....I felt like used toliet paper for a really long time. Whenever I saw couples in public I always thought to myself that these woman weren't any prettier or any skinnier than me so why are they happily walking with thier husbands and kids and I was alone? I learned that you have to pick yourself up and get out there. Join a dating service and meet as many people as you possibly can....get out and have fun - but don't get to attached to any one person at first until you start feeling better about yourself....then, when you least expect it the right person ( because your attitude has changed) comes along..... I started to date a friend from college ( one I never thought I would ever date) and 5 years later we were married ( it's almost 2 years now) I am happliy married and expecting a baby Feb 2. and I used to think like you. You are worth it....just don't give up....get yourself out there and have fun.
