My partner and I are celebrating our 5 year anniversary next week and she wants me to suprise her by going somewhere or doing something special. She wants to be really impressed but im having trouble of thinking what special thing we could do to fit the bill. It needs to be original,fun and not too expensive. I could take her for a very classy meal in the best restaurant in town but thats not very impressive or original. Any suggestions?

First off, Settlement is out of the question b/c it is not good for people who may want a Government Clearance for a job....so scratch that. Also we already have a second mortgage so scratch that too......My issue is we are in serious debt and we want to get out before we get in serious trouble. My husband works for the Gov. so it is very important he stay current and no bankruptsy ect. Our plan is to sell a vehicle that we are having trouble paying for each month ($518 a month payments) Once we sell that we are going to apply that money toward our debts as such......Credit loan #1 (which is currently $90 mth and bal of $600) Apply $518 mth and $90 until paid off. When paid off apply the $518 a month + $90 mth + Credit loan #2 monthly payment amt. until paid off. We keep doing this with all our debts until they are all paid off. This is called the Snow Ball effect. because the payments get bigger as you go along. Anyhow, the problem its taking forever to sell the Van. Ideas?

My boyfriend and I had been living together for a year and lately we had been having a lot of problems/arguments. I was trying really hard to work through them because he expressed that it was making him unhappy.

A week ago we got into yet another argument and he packed up and left. I spoke to him a couple days later and suggested that we date but not live together and perhaps we could better work out our problems that way and he agreed saying that he thought that was a good idea. I talked to him Thurs. and Fri. and everything was fine. Then I didn't hear from him all weekend.

I am told that he needs space and time to think. I know he loves me and wants to be with me - so what does he need all this space to think about? He won't take my calls to explain this to me because it 'makes him want to be with me'. What is so wrong with that?

Basically what I want to know is what it is he needs all this time and space to think about, and will he come back?

so it's becoming clear that I'll never really be superhealthy and thin, so I figure why not do something I can be good at? I figure if I really put some effort into it, I could probably get in the guiness book of world records for heaviest man ever. gaining weight is something I've always been good at lol. and it'd be kind of cool to be numero uno.

Im Brittish and I am thinking of travelling the states and i have always wanted to shoot a gun in the open air, like a hand gun, do I need a liscence for that or can i just purchase a gun without one?
Or would I just have to go to a shooting range??

There is a woman ive kind of got acquainted for almost 2 years. She would tell me that she likes me and all that and that I seem like a real nice guy. Then I ask her would you like to go out sometime??? She can't shes got a boyfriend...So I stopped talking to her for about 6 months. Then one day I bumped into her while shopping...She then asks me how come I dont call her anymore with a sad look with concern. I then told her I have been busy and so forth. She did mention she still had a boyfriend still. She asks if I would still like to hang out sometime. I said yea I would like that. She said shes getting a car next week and that she could drive somewhere and meet me. She offers her number and told me to call her. Ive called her enough to show interest. Its been three weeks and she still says she dont know when shes getting the car and dont know when we can hang out. And when I do call her she dont try to make conversation and I do most of the talking. Is she playing game?

The Check engine light came on in my car last night. It is a 1997 Ford Aspire. The oil is fine and my car is not overheating. I have no idea what could be wrong. There is no smell and I have run it a little bit with no problems. I don't know if the problem is serious or not, but I would like to know what problems are going on in the mechanics of my car when the Check Engine light comes on. I am very nervous about this. If I can actually have a list of possible problems and ways to check them, that would be great.

I just registered for an introductory calculus class at the University of Minnesota. I have a 4-year college degree, but I haven't taken any math since I took calc in high school over 10 years ago, and I don't remember a thing. I'm not even sure how much algebra/trig/pre-calc are even floating around in my brain anymore. What is the best way to prepare myself for this class, so I'm not completely overwhelmed? The first class session is in three weeks.

ive been working my brothers pub for the summer and started to get on really well with the head security guard he is spanish. he is very kind and gentle and we are becoming closer i found his CV on the computer at the pub he was a bodyguard for the spanish royal family and also a paratrooper....the language barrier is a bit hard to get around but we are working on it,he does a lot of working hours to will it ever work between us??
