Virtually all nutrition labels say "based on a 2000 calorie a day diet". But I've been wondering is 2000 calories the proper amount for a person to consume? Or is it just a mathmatical average? Should people be eating more or less?
I'm a fairly active and athletic person, so I know that I'm naturally going to need more calories than most people, but still I wonder, how much is really enough.

I have almost a full bottle of pill-form Amoxicillin 500mg that I received in November of 2004. Now, it's the weekend, and to try and fend off a possible infection, I want to start taking some antibiotics.

Can I take these pills, or do you think they've expired? There's no expiration date anywhere on the bottle, but I don't want to be risky. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Are there any US Car Insurance companies that will take into account my UK driving history when calculating my insurance?

I moved to San Francisco from London 5 months ago and have had a Californian license for just 2 months. This means that the insurance on my Saab Turbo is FANTASTICALLY expensive because none of the US car insurance companies are prepared to take my UK driving history into consideration - I've had a clean license for 13 years at home.

Do any car insurance companies take a more international approach?

for self induction, so i figured hey im full term why not try it just to see what happens, well so far i've felt a few faint contractions but the thing that weirded me out the most is that i had at least an ounce of colostrum expressed from my left breast by the time i was done and i only did it for like ten minutes! is that weird? i mean this is my second pregnancy and i don't remember being able to express that much colostrum from my breasts before having my baby. what do ya'll think? is that a sign that im close or what?
