No virus/spyware/popup blocker is perfect. If there was one, we would all buy it and use it.

Nothing against SBC, but I find most of the ISP-provided tools a bit weak.

Many people use multiple tools for better coverage. Many antivirus programs don't get along, but Bitdefender plays nice with McAfee or Norton. I recommend and use both Spybot and Ad-Aware.

As was said before me, most ISP security tools are a little on the weak side. If the program does not reconize the virus, it cannot stop it. I would suggest you get AVG Free.
