People usually get married for the idea of Love----
That's what marriage means--staying with someone you Love for a long time
A successful marriage takes two people----the beauty will fade, the sex will falter, but the Love MUST remain
It is love that will bring the trust.---the trust will bring the commitment---and the commitment will make the marriage a lasting bond.

Kinky,
If a good foundation exists,
then the most important secret
for a successful marriage is:
don´t try to change the person you
fell in love with into somebody else.
For this, you will both need tons of tolerance,
loads of patience, brilliance in compromising,
never having to say: I told you so, and lastly,
but no less important, love, lots of love which
will continue to expand, together with respect
and a longing to share your lives forever!
If married, good luck.
If not married yet, start getting ready, and good luck as well!

I try to be really understanding and be interested in everything my wife talks about, even that time of the month stories. When we get mad at each other because of a fight,we don't stay mad for long or hold grudges or go to bed mad.I think of my wife and I as complete equal, that's very important if you want a good marriage.I try hard to make my wife happy,I do things I know she will like and buy her things I know she likes just to make her happy and it makes her do the things I like ;p !!!You have to listen to your mate and actually put effort into a marriage to make it successful,it doesn't get that way by doing nothing!!

So far, for me and my husband, it is honesty and understanding each other. We agreed right from the start that being honest with each other was a major factor. The understanding is more about working out problems. If we are too upset to sit down and talk civilly like grown adults, then we know to leave it alone until the storm is over. Oh, and never...never go to bed mad at each other, always kiss the other good night and kiss them good morning. You never know when it may be the last!

Open communication and trust. If you can tell them anything you need to, and trust them to support you and not freak out at what you tell them, you'll be able to work through pretty much any issue you run into.
If you can't trust them to be honest with you, it's going to be an uphill battle, no matter how much else might be perfect about the marriage.

Getting married for the right reasons, and then respectful communication.
First, you need to marry the right person for the right reasons. Assuming that you already did that, then as long as you can communicate respectfully with each other, you stand a very good chance at being able to work out everything else.

Remeber your first love...
When you first meet your mate, you give a heck of a lot more than you take... for marriage to work most people think both sides have to give 50-50... well, actually, bioth sides have to give one hundred percent, or its not worth even trying
