...(past or present!) : what is/was it about your _______ (spouse, partner, bf,gf,whatever) that you fell in love with? How did you know it was the 'real deal'?

Let me just clarify...I am head over heels, crazy in love! I'm not looking for anyone, I'm just a sucker for a good love story!!!
I was married @ 18, widowed @ 22, re-married @ 23. Spent 10 years in a pretty abusive relationship. Finally got the self-respect, & the nerve to get the hell outta there!
I vowed I would never, EVER fall in love again. I had custody of our son (still do), & a profession I loved; family; a few close friends....falling in love was so far out of the realm of possibility.
Then, BAM!!!! Out of nowhere comes this incredible man.

Any whooooo....thanks for the great answers! I'd give you all the 10 pts. if I could!!
Peace...

Wow, I don't know how I knew... I just did. I guess the butterflies in my stomach went totally insane and I couldn't get him out of my mind. After really getting to know him, we found we had alot in common and we just "got" each other, even when no one else did. We finished each others sentences, shared so many of the same dreams for the future, and we simply enjoyed being together. Our relationship just grew more and more until we were ready to get married. I am more in love with him now than ever and there is no doubt in my mind that he's still the "real deal". :)

At first, I just thought my partner was hot. That's a pretty superficial reason to date him -- but without that primal attraction, we wouldn't be where we are today.

Now, I'm aware of much more than his killer tooshy and baby-blue eyes . . . and I love him very dearly. He is romantic, and friendly -- brilliant, creative, and passionate.

I don't know that it's the "real deal." I don't think that anybody is predestined for another person -- and I believe that ANY relationship will take a massive amount of work -- but, I figure -- he's a great guy, and . . . regardless of how it ends, he's definitely worth the time, and the chance.

I was a " player" successful too. Married a couple of times, and then..Boom. She completed me. Together for years, we both lost everything to be together and I would do it again. She's my best friend, my lover, and I can't help it. Don't sell yourself short, demand the best, give the most, enjoy the moment..Was I lucky? Probably..but I seized happiness and worked at it. Good Luck...It's worth it, not easy, but truly worth it.

He's my best friend, we met as kids years ago, whenever I needed him he was there, for years I took him for granted, One day he confessed his feelings and I was shocked. I gave it exactly two seconds thought and told him I felt the same way. We have been together just over ten years now and never letting go, He is my world he makes me feel invincible and he gave me my son!!! He is my soul mate and I adore him. Thank you for asking this question It was nice to rekindle just why I love him.

My husband and I were best friends in high school. He knew everything about me and vice-versa. He made me laugh, and he was (and still is) extremely intelligent. I knew it was the real thing when he received a large sum of money, and he did not change with me one bit!!

it is undeniable that one falls for the physical aspects the most easiest. like the petals of flowers.

but then, one can't pinpoint the actual point of most attraction. guess these things just blossom to the point that you have too much fun together, you don't want to be away from each other...

then, pop...! you're in love!

Fell in love with him because he made me laugh, he seemed sincere (which later I found out he wasn't), he was very sweet and kind.
