My dog got out the front door and got hit by a car. we took him to the vet and they had to amputate his left front leg. They took it off at the shoulder, so the whole leg is gone, and he walks kind of lop-sided and has no balance. He is also now blind in his right eye.

My girlfriend is currently 46 years old and is covered by Medicaid due to her disability, however she received a letter stating that her coverage will end in 3 months. They sent her information on how to apply for Medicare but there will be a significant monthly cost that she can not afford. She takes 5 different medications and if she had to pay for these meds it would cost her over $1000.00 dollars per month. She can not work and receives under $800.00 dollars a month from disability. Where can she get assistance? Is there a program or place out there that offers a low or no cost medical insurance and especially a prescription assistance program?
We live in Florida and Social Services will not help. I would appreciate any and all advice, thank you for your time and help!

he can catch frisbee, swim underwater to fetch rocks, and can chew a 2x4 in half. he hates cats, except for the flavor, and eats their tasty little tootsie rolls right out of the litter box. he eats popcorn and hot peppers, drinks beer & bacardi with coke. he likes burritos too, but watch out! he can climb trees, but is chicken to come back down. haha. 10 bonus points if you can guess his name

OK, I am not looking for advice on how to eat, exercise etc, etc I see my diabetes educator 3 times a week , my Endocrinologist every 2 months plus my internal medicine doc. So I am well taken care of, I have been a type 1 diabetic for 12 years and 4 years ago I had a baby and was diagnosed with Graves disease soon after her birth. I have had the radioactive iodine treatment for my thyroid because my glucose levels were so high; I have changed my insulin for the old R & NPH to the Novolog and Lantus. My glucose levels are still high we have seen a small drop in the levels going from an average of 400-600 down to 200-400 usually in the high 300 to low 400 is where we are at now. I have had T-3 &T-4 blood tests and the thyroid hormone is pretty much gone we have not started the replacement hormone yet. Now this being said I had a talk with my internal medicine doctor a couple of days ago and he wants to put me on a medication that people with type 2 diabetes use. Is this normal, I have never heard of this and was wondering if anyone else had. If anyone knows someone who has done this or what the results might be.

I saw this ring on a distinguished-looking older man on the metro in Northern Virginia and can't identify it. I thought it might be a St. George's Cross, but it's not quite right (the cross doesn't reach the edge of the white area).

now i feel even more paranoid and insecure about myself and my actions. I've been on quite a few dates with different guys recently from an online site and i have somehow managed to put all 3 of them off me. I really liked the 3rd guy and had 2 dates with him now he isnt interested in seein me again. I really want to ask him what i did to put him off but dont want to sound desperate.
I feel really bad now its been diagnosed and dont even feel like leavin the house anymore as all i try to do is be nice but people never like me...

I've been with this guy for a year. We dont go out that much coz career comes first for him. He talks to me very often even if it's nonsense. He likes to kiss me very often. He likes to be updated of what is happening to me especially if I have problems. He also likes to surprise me even in little ways. Before he left for his vacation out of the country, he insisted in taking me home so he can personally say good bye to me and right now, Im trying to figure out if he loves me back by not calling him, and the result...he's the one who's calling at least once a week. He didn't tell me "i love you" yet until but he told me "I like you" but just once. I understand that he has high dreams but I also want to know if Im important to him? He's not going out with other girls, he hates womanizers. So do you think he loves me or he just like me? Im finding it hard to figure out coz I dont know if he's just not showy of his feelings or what....All answers will be appreciated...
