I can call out on telephone and DSL works fine. However, when someone tries to call in, they hear one ring, then static. If I am on the phone when someone calls, the answering service (provided by telephone company) will pick up. If I am not on the phone, caller just hears the one ring, then static.

My friend who is a lesbien, (not attractive to me or vis versa) asked me if I would follow her down to Illinois to drop of her truck because she is quiting her job. Its like a 16 hour drive round trip so I'll be back tomorrow sometime. My BF is all upset about it, and ever more so because I am not upset, yeah ill miss him but its only 16 hours, not a week. Do you think he should be upset about it.

My day has gotten off to a terrible start. A relationship has ended and I am in tears. I knew it had to end sometime and it reallydoesn' surprise me, but to hear it is a different story. I have to go to work soon and I can't stop crying. Monday is a very stressful day at work and we are understaffed so I can't call in and I will have no assistance at work. I will have to deal with a lot of customers. I can't just shut my feelings off and Ihave no friends or family to talk to about this. How can I keep from crying the 8 hours I am at work.? I can't just shut off my feelings.

I'm not very good at math, but I remember that ever since the concept of irrational numbers and repeating fractions was presented to me, I was unable to comprehend it.

If irrational numbers go on forever- infinitely- then we can bring them out to billions and billions of digits without ever seeing them repeat or end rationally- but how do we know that this is the case? How can we be sure that pi doesn't end at the trillionth digit or something? or maybe it begins to repeat at some point. It just doesn't seem logical or scientific to say that "these numbers go on forever" without having any actual PROOF of this.

I am a former longtime boyscout and outdoor enthusiast so survival would be a challenge but very possible. I have become very upset with the direction society has taken and would like to live in a remote undisturbed wilderness location for 1-3 years to search for the answers of life that I can not answer in such a jaded society. IF the Bible had been written by man alone and wasn't the word of God....

The Old Testament would have promoted sex.
The New Testament would have been about the birth of beer
and Revelations about women (in particular, the wife).





Now that I've ignited a flame of discontent with some of you, let me explain. A lot of people like to say that the Bible was only written by man. But if that were true WHY in bloody hell doesn't it incorporate some of the basic wants of man? I don't think I'm terribly off to assume that sex is one of the first thought priorities of any man. If, as some claim, there was no God and all of these ancient writings just written by men, then what is there to accomplish by limiting the very things that most men desire?

And I'm not assigning each area because I believe any of it, but if you think about it why would man create something that doesn't have his wants listed first?

And if you mention power or control, be specific in your response.

everyone is always telling his dad and i how well behaved he is. the problem is when we are at home he is uncontrollable. he talks back constantly, he refuses to eat anything other than the few things he likes (which changes daily), he will act out by hitting us and screaming and crying.
i have never let this kind of behavior go unpunished with him or my younger son but now it is to the point where i want to strangle him because NOTHING WORKS...time out spanking losing priviledges NOTHING...it just keeps getting worse and worse and i really want to throw him out the window sometimes...any suggestions????????????
