Because they want the best for you. Criticism isn't always the best way to help you see things that need to change, but then moms aren't all gifted with the ability to say it "nicely" nor is that even always possible.
Just accept that criticism is part of how she shows her love and concern. She wants you to have a happy and good life.
However as a teen, you aren't always going to understand why she sees things so differently from you. She's got a lot more years and experience so she DOES know things you can't possibly know yet. That's why sometimes she'll say things you totally disagree with.
That doesn't mean she's always right, but it does mean her heart is in the right place and the odds are that MOST of the time, she does know exactly what she is saying is true.

because when they look at u they c u as a reflection of them, so they don't want to look bad, and they want u to improve on the things critisized, or they're insecure, or what they see in u is what they don't like about themselves.

because they want the best...but sometimes it gets destructive. like when you push your body or a machine to the limit and it just can't anymore and you get sick or injured and (for the machine), it breaks down

It is their way of dealing with their own unrealized dreams and realization that they are quickly becoming fat nobodys that will ever do anything.

'cause it's easier for them to point out the things they find wrong with they're children, then to work on they're own problems.
