I think a black president is a great idea, as long as he or she was qualified and had ideas I agreed with.

Here are four men, three of whom who were associates of Martin Luther King, Jr., who I would vote for without any reservations.

As for a black president being assassinated, I think the Secret Service is up to the task. They know what sort of threat he or she would be under and would take all the necessary steps to protect the president. I'm sure you would see fewer open-air presidential appearances though. Also, if the Vice-President was black too, assassins would be less likely to try to kill the president, since another black person would take his or her place.

I respect Colin Powell, but would not vote for him since he lied in the U.N. about Iraq's weapons of mass destruction. Don't get me started on Condi Rice.
