As far as I know nothing. Four of my friends used anti stretch mark cream and they all got them terribly. I figured that there wasn't much I could do about them so I didn't do anything. I didn't get any. I heard it was all genetics, you get them or you don't.

A stretch mark is a tear in the skin. You need to keep the skin moist so that it retains elasticity and can stretch without tearing. It's worth it to purchase a higher end cream for stretchmarks rather than just cocoa butter.

I was 116 post pregnancy and gained 70 lbs and didn't get one single stretch mark using Palmer's Cocoa Butter for Stretch marks and the oil for itching. First put on the oil and then the lotion. My mom had 5 kids and all of us over 9 lbs and she didn't get a stretch mark...she told me it was because of the oil. The oil works!!!

Unfortunatly.....if you are going to get stretch marks, there really isnt anything that is going to stop you from getting them!! Some people swear by coco butter or shea butter...but if you are genetically prone to getting stretch marks, those creams really wont work...they just help REDUCE the risk of getting them by supposedly making your skin more elastic....but I dont think anything really works...you either get them, or are lucky, and dont get them!! =)

Back in my earlier pregnancies, I always used cocoa butter.

Now, I get cocoa butter shea butter body wash, and then use Palmer's on my belly & breasts. I've used cocoa butter for years, it keeps my skin super smooth!

Palmer's for stretch marks can be found at Walgreens, for about five bucks.

I used cocoa butter and shea butter. I am a walking stretch mark!! Sometimes they just come, especially if you stretch a lot.
