My friend who is a lesbien, (not attractive to me or vis versa) asked me if I would follow her down to Illinois to drop of her truck because she is quiting her job. Its like a 16 hour drive round trip so I'll be back tomorrow sometime. My BF is all upset about it, and ever more so because I am not upset, yeah ill miss him but its only 16 hours, not a week. Do you think he should be upset about it.

Why is he upset? No, I don't think he should be and you are your own person and perfectly capable of making a decision, so just tell him you're going and that's that. If he wants to be a grown-up, he'll have to accept your decision. (where did you find this guy? Babies R Us?)

As a couple you have to spend some time apart. It's healthy.
But is he upset about the girlfriend being bi, and you two being alone all that time? Or is he upset about missing you for that time? 16 Hours is nothing really. Either way to me it sounds like some insecurity issues need to be addressed, it helps to verbally tell people in "black&white" exactly what your love for them means and assure them that they make you happy. Have fun on the trip, and make sure to buy him something, it might seem corny but it will let him know that you were and always think of him.

If you want to help your friend, I see no reason why you shouldn't. I have no idea what your boyfriend's problem is, but you need to ask him directly why he's objecting to this. Can you invite him along? If not, tell him you'll be sure to call and stay in touch while you're gone, and when you get back, you'll be sure to do something special just with him. Hope that helps! Have a safe drive!

I dont think he should be that upset and wonderin if he is worried and jealous, always go w/ your feelins on things and be careful not sure why would have to dropp off that far if works there, but anyway tell him not to worry youll be back as soon as can and he will get over it sooner or later its not somethin major and if he doesnt then awful selfish

If he consider himself grownup he should wish you a happy trip and tell you to drive carefully.
If not, tell him to grow up quickly, start the truck and go. If he is allowed to take control over you now, imagine what he will be like further on in life!

He should not be upset but as your BF he wants you all to himself..........guys are like that. Strick a deal with him and promise him something he could look foreward to the two of you doing when you get back. In that way he will have something to look forward to. Remind him as much as he needs you, your friends need you too.

Not really, since like you said, it would only be 16 hours. Maybe he's worried you'll meet up with some guy and fall for him.

No he shouldn't be upset. Why don't you ask him to go with you. Make it a fun trip for both of you. That way he can't be upset.
