This scenario is completely hypothetical but I would be interested in the opinion of current and former police officers on how they would handle the situation.

Assume you respond to a complaint in which a very rare, very expensive parrot was stolen from a residence. The owner of the parrot is somewhat of a recluse and lives alone; his only steady companion for the last 20 years has been his beloved pet parrot. The owner is distraught over losing his pet.

As you invesitgate the crime an unreliable confidential informant tells you that an ex-con living up the street from the victim stole the bird and will be reselling it to a wealthy collector. Circumstantial evidence tells you that the bird is still in the ex-con's house but you have no way of knowing when the exchange to the collector will be made. You are personally convinced this guy is guilty but don't have sufficient grounds for a search warrant.

What do you do?

So I have a guy friend that's ugly, fat, retared [not mentally but yeah] and obnoxious. [I am friends with his sister and mom] and he flirts with me! It's gross! He messes with my hair or pats me on the back or wants to touch and/or borrow my things. It's sick. He KNOWS that I don't like him like that. And his sister and mom and some other friends have told him to stop [I told them to tell him w/ out him knowing I'm asking them to..] flirting like that. Then I have another friends and her brother likes me. He pops my bra strap, messes with my hair, HE TRIED TO HOLD MY HAND!!!!! It's all getting kinda crazy. And then her little 3 year old brother! Oh man. He calls me "Princess"!!! Now either I'm just not seeing what other people do or they're really messed up. I SOOOOOO not desirable! I have acne and I'm NOT skinny by ANY means. Why would guys be like this? HELP!!! [sry it's a LONG defanition!]

If all the dogs in a litter go to their new homes at around 8 weeks of age, would they remember some sort of connection if they met up with a sibling in the future? Would the mother remember some connection with one of her babies? Would any of the pups remember their mother - say months, a year or more later?

Just some background info: I've never had any problems with the card and have always been on good terms with them in terms of my monthly payments. Now my card is expiring and they have sent me a new card to activate but I'm thinking about not activating it so that I may get a better card with a much higher credit line and better incentives. So technically I'm not even canceling...I'm just not renewing (I guess?). Will this effect my credit at all? Thanks for your help.

Okay, so i own a Dell PC, with windows XP. Everytime i press the "ON' button, the computer starts to beep, and it sounds as if there is a motor or fan, running pretty fast. The screen is also blank. I think the sequencing for the beeps is 1-3-2, which would indicate a memory failure. also, the diagnostics at the back of the PC are: A-orange, B-orange, C-green, D-green. Which i think also indicates a memory failrure. Now that i know that, what do i do? Do i have to buy new memory? or adjust the current memory cards?

Also, in case it matters, this is not the first time that this has happened. It has happened several other times, but each of those times, it must have "repaired itself" or something because it worked fine the next morning. But these startup problems are becoming frquent and VERY annoying! can anyone please suggest something?
