much better to take cutting from a proven vine or purchase the variety you like!
Plant seed in a pot, about 1/4 inch deep, keep slightly damp grow indoors and plant outdoors next spring.
NOTE: Very hard to get grape seed to germinate!

Hey Guy, Usually you get what is called " runners " off an existing grape plant. you might want to contact some seed company or, grape arbor.
I have tried to plant grape seeds and they do not do too good.
I do have about 3 Red grape vines that are about 5 inches big. That I have been trying to coach along now.
I would really be interested in hearing how you do.
I try to grow HOT peppers all the time.. Just do so so..

Grape seed can be planted any time. Plant them in a small pot that is well drained.
When the plants are about 6" high transplant them into the area where you want to grow them.
Of course if you live in a colder climate, you would only plant them outside in the spring, that will give them time to get established before the cold weather comes.
Now, having said that, you may have better success if you go to a local nursery and purchase plants that are ready to transplant.
