I was 4 months pregnant and went on a whole bunch of not so gentle rides at my state fair (I went to the doctor numerous times and they told me I wasn't pregnant)! When I found out for sure afterwards that I was pregnant I asked the doctor about it and she said it shouldn't make much difference that soon in pregnancy!

Interesting question. We have amazing bodies. Babes are so well protected we can pretty much do anything.
I believe rollercoasters are not recommended only in the last trimester but a gentle one... I would not worry too much. BUT, be cautious if there is a lot of quick starts, stops, and jolting. That is what can cause placenta abruption... premature separation. Double check with your OB and ask if he or she has ever had a patient where a roller coaster caused placenta abruption.

Riding a bumpy, twisting ride puts a pregnant woman at risk for a dangerous condition called PLACENTAL ABRUPTION which means that the placenta which nourishes the baby breaks away from the uterus.

At 5 weeks pregnant, that would mean a miscarriage.

Play it safe... don't ride a roller coaster when pregnant.

If you feel up to it. I am a male however but then there are those that can do it with no problem and others who might miscarriage. However, if roller coaster rides caused miscarriages, more ladies would ride them instead of trying to get an abortion. So, I think it would be safe enough.

I admit that I did the leisure parks even as i replaced into particularly 6 weeks pregnant - No damage in any respect got here to my bub there is not any possibility of a placental rupture as you do not have one yet, and infant remains way down low in the back of your pubic bone -

I wouldnt-- too risky on losing the baby. Jolting it around even a little could hurt it/you. If you were further along maybe, but your in the very early stages. Dont risk that. Good luck

Good question! I am wondering the same thing. I am supposed to go up to someone's camp on the 12th and go tubing, but I'm afraid that if I am pregnant (and if I am I'll be 5.5 weeks) I will hurt something...

I think if you're healthy it should be fine... but won't it make you sick to your stomach? I'm so worried about pregnancy sickness!!!! :-D

no! I mean you CAN because noone can tell that you are pregnant but why would you risk it? Is it really worth it? The most gentle of any ride can cause a miscarriage. Please think of your baby first.
