In order to know that an object is white (for example), you have to have the idea of what white means. I see a lot of Christians (with a lot of religious denominations), saying that "God is perfect". How can they say "perfect" when they never know what "perfect" is? The fact that I "feel" good because "I am Christian", it does not mean that God is perfect, it means that in their narrow mind they found some kind of "perfection". Reading the Bible doesn't make anything more "perfect" but give the way of a lot of other "perfections". Don't they see that "perfection" is in the eye of (religion) beholder?
