In order to know that an object is white (for example), you have to have the idea of what white means. I see a lot of Christians (with a lot of religious denominations), saying that "God is perfect". How can they say "perfect" when they never know what "perfect" is? The fact that I "feel" good because "I am Christian", it does not mean that God is perfect, it means that in their narrow mind they found some kind of "perfection". Reading the Bible doesn't make anything more "perfect" but give the way of a lot of other "perfections". Don't they see that "perfection" is in the eye of (religion) beholder?

1) It is possible to know what perfect is without experiencing it. I understand your position, but I do not think it is correct. It is possible to know something by experiencing it, but it is also possible to know know the idea of perfection by experiencing imperfections.
2) "Feeling good because one is a Christian" does not mean God is perfect. The 2 are completely separate.
3) The Bible doesn't make anything more perfect, but it is a way to help get a different perspective on certain life situations.
4) It's not just Christians that think God is perfect.

To Know God Is To Know Perfection

White is the culmination of many colors... like the white dove, the symbol of God. The all knowing omnipotence of God is perfect.. If we didn't have the goal to be like him... we'd be nothing short of being animals. We know what perfect is because we admit to our failings.. the only problem that people have that, yes, they strive to be perfect at a cost of alienating other people such as yourself who view such people as narrow minded. I am a Christian.. I do not judge that my religion is better than yours.. or even to my fellow Christians.. What matters to me is the truth and my relationship with God.. Sadly, it says in the Bible that we shouldn't judge each other... but people still do.. Don't you agree?

You have your idea a little twisted. No human on earth has ever been or ever will be perfect. The teaching of scripture is for the believer to strive towards perfection. it is a lofty goal one I nor any one can ever achieve. It is the perseverance and struggle to become such a believer will try to obtain. To be Christ like is our goal .To argue against you a little bit perfection is not in the eye of the beholder it is to be found in the word of God only.

You are correct that it is important to know what "perfect" means when one describes something as "perfect". The Latin root of "perfect" means "thoroughly completed," as opposed to "unfinished"; today, we normally use it to mean without blemish or shortcoming. God has been described as "perfect" for millennia. It would therefore be important, when researching the history of this description of God, to consider that the meaning of the word "perfection" may have evolved over time. What people assume it means today may not be what it was originally intended to mean.

God Is perfect, we as humans are sorry no good people not worthy of Gods love, Thank and praise his Holy name that He loves us and sent his Son to die for our sins. People don't understand we are no different than other people other that we try to live for God and are not perfect but we should strive to be.

We know by observing that nothing in this world is perfect. The bible tells us there was a time when it was. When Jesus was here he was perfect in that he never sinned.

When you took your first breath of air, you didn't do so b/c you knew that oxygen would go to your lungs and through your body, you did b/c your body told you too. Your first breath was on faith, just like knowing that God is perfect b/c he has given us faith to believe in. It's all Faith.

being saved is not about a "feeling", it's about knowing. believing God is perfect, which He is, does not make me narrow-minded. the whole "seeing is believing" concept is.
