Its mind over matter, you have to keep telling yourself something like "if such and such doesn't happen, I won't die". You have to prioritize things different and think about whats valuble to you, i.e. family, work, God, etc. I used to get disappointed all the time, I just realized that I was making my own self miserable. Check out the book Battlefield of the Mind by Joyce Meyers or even the book Don't Sweat the Small Stuff.
You can do it, and you will be a lot happier!
