I have violets growing under a tree...I know that violets like neutral soil, about pH 7. The Soil is at pH 5.5 right now, and they are yellowing a bit. I know that coffee grounds make the soil more acidic, but I didn't know if there was anything out there (maybe baking soda) that would make the soil more alkaline.

My son and his wife divorced about three years ago, up until the time he ran out of money and took a different career approach (stopped paying child support) the girls came routinly to see us. They are ages 11 and 5, they have cousins thier same ages on our side of the family, we have had a close relationship in the past. Now the wife is remarried and "busy" everytime we ask to see the girls. We have offered to pick them up on Tuesdays to play and swim, or asked for them to go to the movies and dinner, maybe on a Sunday come go to church with us and share the afternoon playing with cousins but they are always "busy". The latest response we got to the inquiry to see the girls was, "maybe sometime in mid or late July, we are pretty busy up until that time". All we want is to see and be a part of thier lives, maybe get a tball or soccer schedule, etc. We are not asking for week long visits, even overnights, just to see the grandchildren on a regular basis.
Is it within our rights to ask?

I had my wisdom teeth out last week, and was supposed to have my stitches removed today, but the office was closed due to an unforseeable circumstance. So, now I have to wait until Monday to call and make another appointment. My regular dentist is closed, and my regular dr. is on vacation. Will it cause any problems for them to be in for an extra few days? Are there any precautions I should be taking?

I found out that I am pregnant at 8.5 weeks. At about 9.5 weeks i had horrible lower stomach pains followed by vomitting and feeling really sick. For three days I was cold and kept shaking a lot. I had no bleeding. Could i have had a miscarriage?

my husband gave his entire paycheck to his mother to pay her bills, She had a bunch of vet bills, her other sons (hes 30ish and has a job w/ insurance) medical bills, and a 1000.00 dollar tattoo, but couldnt pay her bills. our house payment was due and now i cant pay it cause he gave her all this money? also he chewed me out cause i started crying when he told me he did this. Help plese what should i do. p.s we have 3 small children that this could have helped out for food and stuff liek that.

I have labrynthitis,an inner ear condition, and I have been fired because I took "too many sick days" (I get 5 PAID, and have taken 9 total - 5 from my illness, and 4 from October to February).

My illness has no bearing on my professional ability. These kinds of circumstances have never occured to me before. I have been with this company for two years.
