Misdemeanor DUI - no other people involved, just a traffic stop. Will the judge make the person attend AA meetings? Should they plead not guilty and take a lesser charge of Reckless Driving if offered? Thanks!

Yes, why not?

Why persist with all those regional encodings when there *is* one encoding that works for (almost) all languages? Especially when most of the regional encodings are only capable of displaying one non-Roman language...

And regional encodings in E-MAIL systems are the *most* *annoying* *things* *ever*!

Have you ever tried to send a Chinese or Japanese or Russian e-mail to someone who's not in the same country?

GRRR... when I send Chinese e-mails to my friends on Mainland China or in Japan, all the characters are messed up! That's because we use BIG5 encoding here in Taiwan but they use GB in the PRC and Shift-JIS in Japan! It's soooo annoying!

Shouldn't we just all adopt Unicode and be one big, happy multilingual family...

just wondering. Does it look good if a guy keeps his facial hair or does he look better if he shaved. In school, I am part of an ROTC Unit. Guys can either be clean shaved or have a moustache. I decided to shave. It kinda got to be a pain shaving every day for my uniform. Now that it is summer, I don't have to shave for about two months until September, early August. I am thinking of just letting it grow. Does it look better if guys have any sort of facial hair or does it look better if it is just shaven off.

I worked in Egypt for many years, I like the Eygptian people, (I never came across any religious fanatics) I found them all to be very friendly people.
A recent UK TV programme showed a British woman getting ready to marry an Egyptian, (in Eygpt) she was over child bearing age, but she already had a child from a previous marraige! The Egpytian guy wanted children , so he wanted to also marry another(Eygptian) woman so his wish could be fulfilled.
The UK bride (to be) wasnt very happy about this idea, the Eygptian couldnt understand what all the fuss was about.
As far as I am concerned this is not a religious matter but one of common sense!
One wife is (more) than enough for me!! But I can see his side of the story, can you??

Which do you prefer? This would be for a dining set in cast aluminum that looks like wrought iron and would be used on a wooden deck (not a patio). I like the look of dining chairs (i.e., with legs) because I prefer a traditional style with my old house, but I'm wondering if swivel chairs would be more comfortable and practical on a deck (no legs to get caught in the cracks). Dreamt it was a clear moonlight night, was going down to the beach for a paddle. From the shoreline the water suddenly got really deep and I could see shadows close to the beach. They looked like alligators or Aliens from the Sigourney Weaver films. It looked very ominous.

I wasnt afraid, was kind of curious. Kind of like if you were alone in an isolated spot and saw a light in the sky and had no idea what it was before it started moving towards you. That kind of feeling (best metaphor I could come up with - sorry!)

Any ideas?
