Has anyone read............?

I gotta read for my honors english 4 class over the summer......i have read the 1st chapter and (to me) it seems soooooo boring

anyways im not complaining but can someone tell me if they have read the book and if u liked it???

it is a great book...it seems boring in the begining because of the writing style and how they talked back then but keep reading and you might be surprised at how well you like it.....

It's an interesting book because it reveals much of the way that Oscar Wilde viewed the world. I would advise you not to judge the book by the first chapter - it begins to get pretty spooky later on! Some events of the book: romance, heartbreak . . . Also there are several gory and unpleasant deaths (if that kind of thing interests you)! As well as this, it's also witty, and a sharp social commentary. I advise you not to give up. It's a good book, by a talented writer.

Do you know,Dorian Gray is a character in the movie 'league of extraordinary gentlemen'.He was played by the guy who played Lestat in the movie, queen of the damned.

Yes, both versions actually. Did you know there's a version with 13 chapters and one with 20? They're interesting to compare...

Starts off slow, then jets off! Very good book!

It does start slow, but you will definately want to finish it, it has a great ending.
