What gets hurt most in an asynchronous closure? The circuit breaker that closes, the generator, or some other component?

We're talking about low voltage synchronous generators of about 1MW size, and 11kV circuit breakers.

I saw a photo once of a power station turbine following an async closure - it was more of a turbine-shaped hole in the floor. But that was a big machine. Is it different for little 'uns?

guys dont you wish that there was an abuse button to report the bible thumpers??

You and partner have been through a rough time caused by families and stuff nothing to do with the relationship itself - anyway your partner is still going through a bit of an issue with his father which is upsetting for him. He has withdrawn from the relationship and is very much into himself with very little communication. You then tell him that you are and have always been there for him but you just want him back to enjoy the relationship and he doesnt say much but says that he's happy and just being himself. What do you do when you know that its not right and although you love him you feel like running but dont wanna be without him coz you know he's just having a bad time and sure it'll get better. I am so upset and cannot take anymore - I feel like i'm banging my head against a wall. Help??

I thought for sure the movie was called Shipwreck but I can't find anything anywhere online about it. The movie is from the 80's and is about people that go on a ship then run in to really bad weather. I don't remember a whole lot about it but I remember they kept singing thing song, it went something like.........hey hey up to *something* hey hey up to *something* hey hey up to *something* early in the morning, what would you do with a ....that's about all I remember but hey maybe someone will remember.
