Macaroni Grill, which is owned by the McDonald's Corporation if I'm not mistaken. They have great Italian and you gotta have a glass of their Chianti with some bread and dipping oil. They have one in Kansas City I would go to alot when I lived there.

Macaroni Grill, because they have EVERYTHING that ANYONE can eat. They have VEGAN options, like I can make my Own Pasta if I don't like what I see on the menu, and their tomato soup is SO Bangin'!!! From Meat Eaters to Seafood lovers to Vegi/Vegan and even the usual Health Nut can dine in there and LOVE every moment of it. (the only thing their missin' is food for a Fruitarian/The Raw Dieters LOL, but those people are happy with fresh salads so I think they still have enough options there too).
I LOVE Macaroni Grill!!!
And the prices are RESONABLE!!!
THE food is Healthy (unless you just make it unhealthy by choice or over eat, which is easy to do since it's SOooooooo GOOD).
!!!
=)

That's very hard because some chains do some foods well. Very few do everything well.
I guess in the U.S., the best big chain restaurant is Cracker Barrel. Everything on their menu is very good, especially breakfast foods.
Internationally, Chili's food is consistently good whether in Tampa or Taipei. No drop off in terms of quality. I just wouldn't say they're the best chain in the U.S. because there are so many good ones. However, for the ones overseas, Chili's is the best.
The best pizza chain, whether in the U.S. or overseas, is still Papa John's. Hands down the finest chain pizza you can get anywhere.

Applebee's and Red Robin. Chelo's and Newport Creamery are also very good but only located in New England states. Answering this question before breakfast is just not the right thing to do! LOL

On long road trip to Florida, we stopped at the Appleby's in Perry Georgia (near ext 131 I75, I think). Not only was the food incredible, but the service was the best I have ever experenced. The staff knew we had been driving for many hours and were exhausted. They got the food out quickly, paid special attention to my kids and, after all was said and done, they sent us on our way with a couple of coffees for the road.
