Have you ever noticed if women say "We rule" they are percieved as empowered, confident, strong, yet if men say "We rule" they are percieved as barabaric, chauvanistic, and arrongant? Many women will boldy say "My husband knows his place...." with no rebuke. However, if a man says "My wife knows her place..." he is instantly shunned. Again, if women say "We should get rid of all men." she may be rewarded a hardy laugh. If a man, though, says "We should get rid of all women." he is percieved as insensitive and sexest. Such is the case with many comments of this type.
Is it that society pities women? Do we allow women to say such things because we know it is far from true? Do we shun men who say such things because it has been and is true?
These are solely my thoughts and questions. Wheather or not you agree, please explain your answers.
Thank you, in advance, for your valuable time. I appreciate it.
