I know they said the air is fine and they have been testing since yesterday but I am still worried. I work around 30th street & Park and when I got off the train this morning, I smelled the fumes. I am waiting until 9:30 to call my doctor to ask if I should be around this area but I am curious to see what you guys think. Are there any pregnant women who work in the area, who didn’t go to work because of the explosion or are worried like myself? Who knows what caused that explosion, sad to say but I don’t trust our government 100% and it is scaring me. Should I be worried or am I just over reacting?

She is moving to new york; I already live here. She is on the fence about coming out or living in the closet. She is from a very conservative family in the Bible belt. I think it would be great for her to get some exposure to other gay people and see how accepted that lifestyle is in new york. I don't want to change her, so please spare me the responses telling me to just love and accept her as she is. I already do that...I'm looking for fun things to do around the city that are les/gay friendly. Thank you!!

I actually have visited this park once before, and from what I remember it was beautiful, but I also don't remember what time of year I went (in spring or summer) and I went later in the day. I was wondering if it's still as beautiful as I remember (I remember nature trails and a little beach), and I was wondering if you know if it's crowded or anything during the morning and afternoon. Thanks guys!

I work on Wall st and live on E 28th. ive been taking the 6 downtown to canal st then switching to the J. My commute is 50 minutes. it takes about 10 minutes to transfer at canal street because theres tons of stairs and walking to get to the J which isn't good when your in a rush. i thought maybe i should try to take the 6 to 14th st and hop on the 5 because the 6 doesnt go down to wall (and i cant catch the 5 at 28th st). if i get off the 6 at 14th st do i stay at the same platform to catch the 5 or do i have to walk to another platform?

I'm an artist and love to work in Manhattan. However, I got shocked when I was searching to find a nice accommodation there. There is not anything even near to the word "nice accommodation " in Manhattan!
A shoebox in Manhattan is the same price of a big nice 2BR town house in New Jersey. I prefer to get a 2BR TH in New Jersey; but, I am all the time thinking maybe there are some better options as well? and I wanted to ask some people who had the same experience. What is your best idea about it?
Thank you very much

Why do people always say that. Its as if New York is the only place to "make it" and if you try to make it elsewhere you wont make it unless you make it in New York first.

There are loads of people who have pursued their careers and ventures in other cities and have mega-success.

Why is it that New York is looked at as the "only place to make it", and if you dont make it here you cant make it nowhere else?

I lived in NY all my life. I'm 44 years old and I'm ready to LEAVE this city and start a life elsewhere. Does this mean I'm running away from the challenges in New York or I'm scared and want to try to make it in a city that's EASIER to "make it"? Does this mean I'm giving up in New York and I wont make it elsewhere?

I am 30 years old today and I have not seen my father in 16 years. The last place I saw him was in Philadelphia and we had a rocky break.

In 1977 the year I was born my father was in prison and my mom would take me to see him but when she remarried that relationship ended and I did not see him again until I was 13.

My mom does not support my search so I don't have his date of birth or ss# thing that would make it easy this is all the information I have please help.

His name is Angel Nieves a very common name.

He is about 51-52 years old

He is a very handsome Puerto Rican man who I think was born in Puerto Rico but lived in New York.

He has brothers and sisters but I think one of his sisters name is Awilda.

Very important we use to call him Papo and he looks just like Al Pichino in Carlito's Way the movie.

I need to find him I don't want anything from him but to my knowledge I am his only child and I have 3 beautiful children and a wonderful husband and I want
