Will we still have fun. I have seen the forecasts and it says humid and showers. How will this effect our stay? I am worried because we have been waiting for this trip for a long time and I don't want the weather to ruin it. THANKS

Just dress appropriately for the summer.. Breathable cotton or linen clothing, shortsleeves. Carry a compact umbrella with you, and a bottle of water if you are going to do a lot of walking.
The nice thing about Manhattan is that a lot of the buildings have public spaces or large foyers you can duck into if you encounter a sudden shower or if you want to cool off for a bit in the air conditioning.
Stay street-smart, and you should have a good time. Seldom do I ever encounter New Yorkers who let the weather bring them down.

This morning was a heavy downpour. The weatherman expects the same for tomorrow. Yet it should clear up. Right now very little humidity. It's comfortable. Also in NYC it might rain for one hour, then clear up, and the rest of the day it's sunny.

Well.. it hasn't been INCREDIBLY hot like it usually is. Today, there were VERY LOUD thunderstorms and pouring crazy! Bring an umbrella and some clothes that you'll feel comfortable in when it's raining.

You will probably take more cabs than normal. Bring a couple of umbrellas along. You will need them.
NYC is fabulous, rain or shine. Don't worry about it.

I would check weather.com/vacation. They have a really useful vacation planner with a "what to pack" feature.
