Subway Service to Grand Central ?? Is the train still runing in that area ? and is Grand Central still open?

Last I heard it was open. The Lexington line, 4, 5, and 6, and the 7 have disrupted service. Best to check the nyc.gov web site for concise information.

Grand Central is open for Metro North riders only and they are using the north end exit to leave Grand central. the 4, 5, 6 and 7 lines are bypassing grand central.

www.mta.info is the best source for nyc transit information. it says right now that MetroNorth service is running into GCT, but only certain station exits are open, so walking routes will be disrupted. it also says that the 4,5,6, and 7 are bypassing GCT, and the S is not running. people are encouraged to use bryant park station (42nd at 6th) as an alternative.

please note, the city does not operate the MTA, and the City's website is generally not a good source of transit info.
