I am going to the Harlem book fair this saturday 7/21/07 and I have never been to Harlem (west 135th street between 5th and 7th avenue.) I would like to know what train or bus would get me where I need to be and what train or bus would get me back to penn. Please not I prefer to take the train but will take a bus if necessary.

NobleSavage's directions would usually be perfect, but this weekend due to construction the 2 and 3 are diverted. trains labeled "5" will be running over the 2 line, so take that instead.

At Penn Station, take the 2 or 3 subway uptown to 135th Street. It will be the 7th stop.

you can take the m1 (on madison ave) bus to 135th street, but if you need to get there faster, take the 2 or 3 train uptown to 135th street

take the 1, 2 or 3 train up there. BTW bring pepper spray harlem is disguisting and theres a lot of crime
