Many of you have been whining & complaining about no snow, & now u got ur wish. I've been complaining about it being too cold. I feel bad about the people who have to do all this hard work & shovel up this messy, dirty snow. Also, I'm upset that my new shoes are messed up & dirty because of the snow.

Looking for recommendations or opinions on some items I have/don't have in my itinerary. We will only be in NYC Mon-Fri and want to make the best use of our time. Please advise with opinions or alternatives to the following: The Biltmore Room, Casa Bella in Little Italy, Chikalicious, Grimaldi's, Joe's Shanghai, Magnolia Bakery, PignWhistle, River Cafe, Surya, Nirvana, Serendipity, Tavern on the Green, Ground Zero, Chinatown, Diamond District, etc. (I obviously like to eat) Another note: this trip is the week of July 4th. Will this be a busier time than normal? Where is a good location to view the fireworks? Thinking Battery Park with the concert but hoping to avoid the hugest crowds if at all possible. Staying in the Theater District. What are the best ways to get cheap tickets, outside of the TKTS line. Been to NYC in 2001 so not really into ESB, Statue, and the like again. Any help, from where to go, what to order, the best time to go, is greatly appreciated!

I'm coming from Detroit and was wondering what would be the best place to stay the night near the stadium. Should I stay in N.J. or go north toward White Plains? Then, is the public transportation reliable in that area so I can get the game and any other site in N.Y.?
