I hear that to live in New York is like 1,000 dollars for an ugly apartment. I wanna live there sooo bad, but I dont know where a cheap but decent place to live would be. Whats it really like up there concerning housing, ect.

preferably less than $150 a night and no shared bathroom. It doesn't matter what part of NYC it's in, but I need one that is in the city, not outside the city

We'll be in New York in June and my Mom wants to see Ground Zero. I found a walking tour - but she has trouble walking very far. Is there some way to view it (preferably with a guide) - and perhaps visit a museum or something without doing much walking?

Am flying from the UK to New York for a week away on the 23rd February. Someone just told me you have six feet of snow there and it would be good to dress accordingly! Anyone give me an update on that and what we can expect on the 23rd? Cheers ...
