It's barely snowed at all this winter - we had a sprinkling last week, but it didn't stick. They are predicting snow this Tuesday (February 13) - The weather is cold so bring a heavy coat, gloves, hat, etc - and, just in case, bring shoes that you can wear in the snow. I can't predict what the weather will be like on February 23, but it will probably still be cold. New York City will never have six feet of snow. If you want six feet of snow, you have to go upstate to the mountains.
Have a great time, and, in case you don't want to drag your warmest clothes, shopping is great in New York - you can buy new things.

Like everyone else has been saying, that's upstate and over 200 miles north of NYC. We've had a tiny bit of snow this season but none of it stuck to the ground and was always gone by morning. We have had some frigid weather though and with the wind chill, it's been feeling below 0° (Fahrenheit) at night. It's been dangerously cold so you do need to bring warm clothes and dress in layers when you are here.
I'm not sure what to expect around the 23rd but you can assume it's still going to be very cold here.

The six feet of snow is in the Northern part of New York. If you are coming to the New York City area it is cold, ranging from about 20-30 degrees during the day here and about 10-15 degrees at night. So I would certainly recommend winter wear, heavy coat etc. I would pack boots just in case. Safe trip.

Currently, there is no snow here in NYC. There is snow in New York State (Buffalo, Utica, them places). February is usually the coldest month here, however as far as the 23 goes, I don't know what the weather will be. Weather forecasters can go as far as 7 days ahead to give us the forecast. I would suggest that you bring a warm coat, and some snow boots (in case it snows).

The six feet of snow is located in Oswego, New York, which is Upstate New York, and no where close to us.
We have cold weather her, but, so far, no snow. Enjoy your trip.
