It was warmer today than it's been all week - right now (6:30pm) it's 31 degrees. They are predicting cold weather and snow Tuesday and Wednesday . If that happens, this time the snow will stick and it will be a mess. This city doesn't do well in snow - Buffalo gets three feet of snow and they clear their roads, go to work, go to school. New York City gets three inches, and the city is crippled. They close the schools, subways and buses are messed up. Luckily, we don't get that much snow, and it snows infrequently.

Right now it's freezing, I was there Christmas this year and it was pretty mild, not too cold, last winter in January 2006 it was sunny and 70 degrees in Central Park, warmer than So. California where I had left. The weather in NYC generally best in spring and fall, but every year is different like I said above. I have had mild July's there as well as hot and also rainy. That's one of the great things about NYC, it always surprises you.

Weather was very unusual this winter, most of January was pretty mild and then we had a period of one day mild next freezing for a few weeks.
Despite the current freezing temperatures, we haven't gotten a decent snowfall yet.
