My father wants to fly from Los Angeles to New York but he is not a citizen. What does he need to fly there?

Whenever you fly anywhere in the US, you are required to show your ID (driver's license, state ID, etc.) at the security checkpoint. They are verifying if you are the same person whose name is on the ticket.

um....if you are an american...you'll need a form of identification (yer license) and yeah....a plane tkt.
something to carry your stuff in i.e. luggage is usually handy too :)
