or do most places require you to sign a long term contract?? Where can you find low cost studios that are also decent in New York?? Is it easy to find jobs there like office/clerical jobs?? Are the buses kind of crowded all the time that you have to stand??

I am trying to find a good apartment to rent out for March 15-19 and was recommended one in Queens for 160 a night. Is this a good deal? Good neighborhood? I know queens is a burrow of NY but what part of town is it in? North, South, East, or West?

Hey! Am collecting quotes on New York City to be published in a book on New York. If you have an opinion and agree for it to be published, together with your first name, age and location, please email me with your reason why you love/hate NYC.
What does NYC mean to you and how does it compare to other cities? What is your fav place in NYC and why? Is there anything that drives you crazy?

Please indicate your first name, age, location

Thanks heaps!!!!!!

Just got back from a New York weekend. Talk about HYPE. My mate and I found NYC to be crappy beyond belief. Loud, over-priced and full of rude, ignorant people is how I'd describe NY. NEVER again.

Friends told us we should try Toronto rather than New York next time we cross the Atlantic. Sounds good to me.

Guilianni cleaned up NYC as mayor. Will he do the same for all American cities if he becomes Pres? Would you vote for him if he ran? Why why not?

Does anyone know why there is always a line around the block to buy cupcakes at the Magnolia bakery on Bleeker street? No matter what time of day and in all sorts of weather people are lined up outside. I've tried their cupcakes and they are good for sure, but no better than one might find in at least 100 other places around town..What's up with this place?

I've been thinking, there's got to be people like dishwashers, cab drivers, pizza delivery drivers, that make less than or somewhere near minimum wage, so how is it they survive? My question I'd like answered is, what does it take to live in New York? "A good job" isn't an acceptable answer.
