You can't rent that room. It was re-numbered and now is under a long term lease.
The hotel welcomes guests, but is primarily known for its long-term residents, past and present.

Not just Sid. Other celebrities stayed at the Chelsea including Jimi Hendrix. Also the Welsh poet celebrity Dylan Thomas was found dead there in 1953. As far as Sid and Nancy's room, that has been changed since the Hotel is famous for a lot of other reasons.

No. The room doesn't exist anymore and it's been converted.
(At least that's what they say. If it hasn't been converted, it's at least been renumbered. People try to stay in that room all the time)
