What is the lowest rent you can find in New York for a decent studio and can most places rent mth-to-mth or??

or do most places require you to sign a long term contract?? Where can you find low cost studios that are also decent in New York?? Is it easy to find jobs there like office/clerical jobs?? Are the buses kind of crowded all the time that you have to stand??

apartments in Brooklyn and queens are less expensive than in the city. you could find a studio for about 750 a month and it is possible to find month to month rentals. still you will probably be asked to pay first and last months rent.
