I'm going to be in Houston for a few days and I'm wondering if there is somewhere, either on the coast or inland, within day trip distance that would have good snorkelling.

I am moving to Houston in 2 weeks and will be taking a job near Bush airport and living in The Woodlands. I will be traveling a lot to fairly dangerous areas (Brazil, Colombia, etc.) and would love to learn some street savvy self defense skills.

Anyone know a good self defense/martial arts school near the airport or somewhere along I-45 I could attend in the morning before work?

Thanks!

Hello, I will be a student intern during the summer in Houston working in the Downtown area. Where are some good places to live for young people? I am 22 years old and looking for a fun but safe area to live. Which areas should I avoid? My budget is pretty flexible..

I'm looking at possibly moving to the area (more specifically Main at Braesmain).

Can you tell me about the area? (residential, business, ect)
Demographics? (professionals, young, old, hispanic, ect)
What points of interest are near there?
and how do you like it?

Thanks, for the feedback

We might be moving to Katy, Texas and I need to know what the area is like. I am from Fort Worth and people are so nice here. What are the people like? Are there great schools for preschool age children? Places to shop? Etc.
Thanks!

I've just moved to Houston. This spring and summer I would like to see some of the great things about Texas within 2 to 2 1/2 hours of here. I know about the blue bonnets. I love plants, nature, art, and great views to paint.Thank you.

im in my junior yr of high school, i'll be graduating in one more year. i would love to graduate from my current high school, but my family (mom dad little sis) bought a house in houston TX and are planning to move by this summer. should i stay with a (family) friend's family for a yr and go to college here, or move to TX with my fam and fly back here for college after a yr? if i were to stay. i would have to work over the summer for most of the money i would need to support myself, and is it even legal to stay with another family at 17? i really do want to stay here, it would mean so much more for me to graduate from my current high school. my parents are still considering. i need some advice, please.

Ok this is kinda hard to explain but here it goes. I am supposed to meet up with a lady that has contacted me to care for her newborn. I know the main street which is Beechnut, but the problem is that she couldnt give me the whole address except for the stree name (where the house is which is Barnes Lane) She said it was a new neighborhood and most likely it wouldnt come out in mapquest. Anyway she said the name of the neighborhood was something like Anch something, It was going to be on my left handside as I went through Synott, and Elridge. Can anyone that might happen to live in this area tell me if you know the exact name of the neighborhood? Thanks!
