The same reason people in NYC, Boston, LA, or Miami do it as well. It is pride for the area that you call home. Most is in jest or "good sportsmanship", yet some will and do cross the line from fun to just plain mean. Don't take everything on here so seriously!!!

Probably because people from here COME FROM all other states.

You probably don't know this, being 25 and all, but most Houstonians come from some other state or country.

When you used the term 'you all' I immediately knew you was from Texas.

Don't pay too much attention to someone putting down Texas. They're just jealous.

And keep in mind that us Texans make fun of Oklahoma pretty often.
Here's how tp get to Oklahoma from the Texas panhandle.
Go East till you smell it, then go North till you step in it.
