We are thinking of maybe going to New England or just further north, we are presently in Texas and neither one of us like it here. We moved here from Colorado in February and want to move again next summer we just are not sure where would be a good place to go. Your opinions would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!

Is there better days or time periods to get the best rate on hotels? Also, is booking online through a third party site actually cheaper than calling the hotel directly and booking it through them? Any suggestions would be nice. Thanks

How many days would it take me to visit most points of interest and most beaches between these 2 cities? Im planning a surfing/sight seeing trip next summer. Ill have one week vacation time. Would that be enough? I live in Pasadena, CA and Im planning to leave to San Francisco on a Friday evening, stay there thru Sunday and start hitting the beaches starting Monday and work my way South the rest of the week. If you have any info or points of interest for me to check out any info is golden to me!

Intead of paying $15 for parking, what's the cheapest way to get to the Staples Center? Is there cheaper parking around? Where and is it safe?

Or, instead of driving, is public transportation a good option? I'm coming from Camarillo and will have a toddler with me. So, I can't walk too far. If I have to walk and use a stroller, is there a stroller check-in at Staples Center?

We are trying to plan a vacation for sometime during the winter break. Since that time of year will be more expensive then we need something affordable but fun. We may possibly be traveling with a 3 year old as well so we would like to have some sort of child care/activity options. We live in Kansas City so flying might be the only option for a real change of scene. We have also considered going on a cruise but that would involve getting passports sometime soon. We have been going back and forth with ideas for months and cannot decide on what sounds best. I though I would see if anyone has suggestions as to what might work best for us. We are looking for something with a lot of activities or sightseeing, a good night life, culture, and (hopefully) some museums or attractions of that sort. We would not rule out camping (somewhere warm obviously) but if we stay in a hotel it should be nice. Beachy locals are a plus, but we would look into anything worthwhile.
