There are obviously going to be individual stations that vary, but today's National Gas Price Surverys indicate a national regular gas price of $2.796 per gallon. The lowest state average was New Jersey at $2.517. The highest state average was Hawaii as expected at $3.336. and the lowest average city rate for a gallon was St. Louis, MO at $2.48 per gallon.

As of this morning it was 2.47 for regular in the St. Louis MO area but I heard from a station mgr of Shell it was going upto $4.00 +++ sometime very soon. see this

I filled up my tank yesterday in Atlanta, Georgia for $2.75 a gallon.

I can get it for $2.45 a gallon in northern New Jersey.
