I am seriously considering a move from Chicago to the Los Angeles or Orange County area. I am a single 34 yo accountant and see that there is a lot in the way of work out there in industry that I specialize (Commercial real estate).

That said, chances are I will be working downtown. I've only been there once and I stayed in Pasadena. I liked it there but want to keep my options open as far as where I would live.

Does anyone have any suggestions on towns for me to look at to live. I plan on renting a 1 bedroom apartment and have a budget of $1,500ish but, of course, would be happy paying less.

I know commutes are long and traffic is terrible. I really don't care to sit in traffic for an hour and a half so I don't want to be toooo far away from downtown (an hour is okay)

Suggestions?

I recently found out that Bad Religion is coming to NYC in October. I know that all the shows in that theater are 16+, I'm 16 myself but I want to bring a couple of friends who are 15. Do you think they would stop them? Do they check ID? I would hate to bring them and have them stay outside the whole night.

I'm getting married in May of 2008 in Vegas. So far we like Mandalay Bay and Paris. I've only seen pictures online. Has anyone been to a wedding or seen these chapels? Also, I wouldn't mind finding a less expensive chapel. I def. want it to be somewhere on the strip, though. Any ideas?

- Not too hot in summer (i.e. no more than 35C)
- Not covered in snow in winter for months on end (I don't mind a little bit, but I don't want to be wearing skiing kit all winter lol)
- Not cram-jam full of evangelical Christians (they wouldn't like me much)
- Adequate rainfall - i.e. enough for grass without using a hose
- Got a decent university

Bit of a tall order I know, but any answers appreciated :D

Well today soon we're leaving for SF.. not much in our own city to show our guests so we always opt for San Fran..

I love it there.. it sorta reminds me of a New York but differently.. I especially love how its so foggy and the sound of the cablecars..

Im going to Vegas but after that we're gonna cruise around in another city, so from Vegas should we (family) go to L.Angeles or S.Francisco. Maybe somewhere else that is around Nevada and is nice I dont mind so any suggestions? If no then can you tell me which to go, LA or SF? And why?

My family and I are going to Utah Salt Lake City in November 2008 for 10 days, We are looking for accomodation for 4 adults and 3 children. Can anyone suggest a good place that we can stay? its been 6 years, they should have the twin towers rebuilt by now. Larry Silverstein originally wanted to replace the 2 towers with 4 towers that were half as high. If that happened it would be like the terroists have told America that they cant make towers that tall anymore, Most New Yorkers wanted 2 new towers, then Silverstein wasted a few years with that freedom tower nonsense. It looks like they will build 3 towers that are shorter than the 2 towers, so it looks like Silverstein won., but isnt the wtc owned by New York? If I lived in N.Y. and I did'nt like the house I was renting, could I burn it down and use the insurance money to build a new house that me and an archetect designed?

I'm a San Diegan... and I want to move to San Francisco. Just the enviroment and the places itself made me fall in loove with that city.
The thing is I'm majoring in Veterinarian Med. and will be attending UCDavis. I still want to live in the Downtown Area of SF. Is the commute ridiculous, and should i just consider living more near Davis? Or would the 1hr+ be managable??
I seriously love SF.
